The network of independent freight forwarders has modernized its work platform in order to be able to manage consignments and general cargo transport perfectly. This is why the so-called BUS technology and Representational State Transfer Application Programming Interfaces (REST APIs) are central elements of Octobus. Both allow web-based services to be used for processing data. A key service based on this is central clearing, i.e. an application for managing internal billing between service providers. This was programmed by the Austrian software company Iovavum.
