I read your article dated 18.09.2023 entitled "ME/CFS: more than just exhaustion" on the homepage of a health insurance company. However, it lacks important and crucial information on the clinical picture of ME/CFS. Unfortunately, neither the severity of this disease was explained, nor was it explained that it can lead to bedriddenness and that these people are in need of care. The most severely affected even have to be tube-fed and lie in darkened rooms, isolated from the outside world. They react to all stimuli. The "Possible measures" listed can at best only be used by mild to moderately affected people, but not by severely to very severely affected people. When researching and writing medical articles, you should be guided by the latest medical and scientific findings. This will help to prevent incorrect treatment and misinterpretation of a severe neuroimmunological disease. Thank you. Addendum: The article was updated on 15.02.24 and unfortunately the facts were not adhered to again. I guess you are not familiar with the studies either? The article trivializes this serious illness and leads to incorrect treatment. Very severely affected people are sent to rehab, although a study is currently underway and it is not known whether this does more harm than good to those affected.
0Thank you very much for your review. The article you referred to is basic information intended to provide an initial rough overview in consultation with the client. The clinical picture described is very complex and can have very different manifestations. The article has since been adapted.
