Global Blue pioneered the concept of Tax Free Shopping over 40 years ago. Through continuous innovation, it has become the leading strategic technology and payments partner, empowering merchants to capture the growth of international shoppers. As a Product Manager at Global Blue, I held the responsibility for the technical product management of this project, serving as the pivotal link between our business and technology teams. My role entailed overseeing the seamless integration of project objectives with technological solutions, ensuring alignment across diverse team functions and driving the project towards successful completion.
The scope of the project was the further development of the existing customer interaction platform based on SAS Customer Intelligence. This included the integration of new data sources, the integration of new communication channels such as mobile push and the implementation of new communication streams. Last but not least, elanyo designed the modernization of the customer interaction platform towards SAS Customer Intelligence 360, which will be jointly implemented this year.
The decision to collaborate with the vendor in question was not solely based on our selection process but came highly recommended by SAS Customer Intelligence. This recommendation was pivotal in our decision-making process, reflecting the vendor's proven expertise and alignment with our project requirements as vetted by a trusted partner in the industry.
The vendor's approach to project execution was methodical and collaborative, involving a series of online workshops that engaged both our internal team and representatives from SAS Customer Intelligence. The primary responsibility of the vendor was centered around the documentation and technical design of the required solution. While SAS significantly contributed to the delivery of the solution, the extent of elanyo's involvement in the actual implementation remains unclear, indicating a partnership model in the project execution.
The project team from the vendor side comprised two key consultants: one junior and one senior. Both members played integral roles in providing comprehensive consulting services, which included solution architecture as well as the technical design and documentation of the project. Their collaborative efforts ensured a wellrounded approach to addressing our needs.
A key performance indicator (KPI) for the project's success was the deployment of push notifications from both our app and website to our users. This metric not only demonstrated the technical efficacy of the solution but also played a crucial role in enhancing user engagement and satisfaction, marking a significant achievement in our project objectives.
